A correlation coefficient of 0 indicates that there is no linear relationship between two variables. This means that changes in one variable do not result in any predictable changes in the other variable in a linear fashion. However, this does not necessarily mean that there is no relationship at all; there could be a non-linear relationship that the correlation coefficient does not capture.
